Hi, I’m Gemma. Stephen and I have been married for 16 years, and we have three lovely children together. We live on the beautiful Dorset Coast.
This is our family’s real-life journey from temporary living to (almost) finished home.
I wanted to document our 18-month journey of completing our loft conversion while living in a cabin in our garden to share with you the highs and the lows of small-space living.

Making the most of the space
Living small has taught us how to get creative with every inch. Our king-size bed was up on four IKEA Malm chests of drawers and one Kallax cube unit (our mattress fit perfectly!), and the kids had their own space, a single bed above, with play/gaming space below, with a curtain for a door. It was small, but it was home.
